Den var sidoimporterad via England och jag hade den i min \u00e4go innan n\u00e5gra andra sl\u00e4ppts ut p\u00e5 den svenska marknaden. Det var en silverf\u00e4rgad 79:a som jag nyttjade flitigt en sommar. Bra effekt i maskineriet men katastrofalt d\u00e5lig v\u00e4gh\u00e5llning. Kunde helt oprovocerat b\u00f6rja wobbla p\u00e5 rak v\u00e4g. Efter en s\u00e4song s\u00e5ldes den till f\u00f6rm\u00e5n f\u00f6r annat projekt. Jag har sp\u00e5rat den och den hade fortfarande samma \u00e4gare som jag s\u00e5lde den till och den hade varit avst\u00e4lld sedan 1982. Den fanns dock para som &#8220;papper&#8221; men var i praktiken skrotad. Trist&#8230;  Sommaren -22 dyker det i n\u00e4romr\u00e5det upp en 80:a med samma f\u00e4rgschema och som ytligt sett \u00e4r i f\u00f6rh\u00e5llandevis bra skick och prislappen var rimlig s\u00e5 det blev aff\u00e4r. Som synes p\u00e5 bilden var den inte s\u00e5 grann n\u00e4r man l\u00e4ttade p\u00e5 &#8220;ytskiktet&#8221;. Det bir en relativt omfattande renovering som just startat. Tillg\u00e5ngen p\u00e5 bra delar till dessa \u00e4r relativt god. Huvudsk\u00e4let till att valet f\u00f6ll p\u00e5 den h\u00e4r hojen var att n\u00e5gon tidigt i dess liv plockat av original avgassystemet och det fanns fortfarande kvar och \u00e4r i h\u00e4pnadsv\u00e4ckande gott skick. Det visade sig att motorn var i ett h\u00e4pnadsv\u00e4ckande gott skick. Leak down testet visade p\u00e5 2-3% vilket \u00e4r vad det ofta \u00e4r p\u00e5 en helt ny motor. N\u00e5gra f\u00e5 ventilchims beh\u00f6vde bytas och s\u00e5 fick den s\u00e5 klart en lite exteri\u00f6r &#8220;make over&#8221;. S\u00e4ga vad man vill men Hondas kvalitet \u00e4r m\u00e5nga g\u00e5nger sv\u00e5rslagen (erk\u00e4nns av ett inbitet Kawasaki fan). Originalst\u00f6td\u00e4mparna var i gott skick och \u00e4ven flertalet originaldekaler var fina. Jag fick komplettera med n\u00e5gra f\u00e5 eftermarknadsdekaler. Enda delen som \u00e4r omlackad \u00e4r &#8220;stj\u00e4rten&#8221; som fick perfekta reproduktionsdekaler fr\u00e5n Classic Decals i England. I februari var den n\u00e4stan klar men jag har tyv\u00e4rr inte lyckats f\u00e5 tag p\u00e5 en originaldyna i tillr\u00e4ckligt bra skick s\u00e5 det f\u00e5r bli ett eftermarknads\u00f6verdrag fr\u00e5n David Silver. Det anl\u00e4nder inom kort. Mycket sm\u00e5tt och gott som beh\u00f6vde \u00e5tg\u00e4rdas.
